===== Hungarian Perkelt (Paprika Chicken) ===== ** Ingredients ** * 1kg chicken thigh fillet * 2 big onions * 1 green capsicum * ground hungarian paprika (not spicy) * half a small cup of full cream (47%) ** Preparation ** - thaw chicken to room temperature (can be cold but not frozen) - cut chicken into small pieces - cut onions into tiny pieces - (optional) cut capsicum into long pieces - (optional) cut tomato into small pieces ** Procedure ** - put small amount of olive oil into big pot - heat to 1300power / medium heat - add all onions - stir for 2 minutes - add all chicken - stir for 2 minutes - add 3 tablespoons of hungarian paprika - (optional) add capsicum - add boiling water to cover all +2cm (roughly 4cups) - add 2 chicken stock cubes - partially cover with lid - let it boil for 1h:30 at power 800 (medium) - once cooked, add roughly ~300ml of thickened cream - stir for 2 minutes
